Pay attention to what's kickin'.
Gretchen Dertz is with Edina Realty and she sends her branded CEC Weekly Update to 83 families each week.  What is so interesting to me is that I had never thought about the information one can obtain in the event the CEC Weekly Update kicks back. 

Gretchen uses those notifications each week as an "alert to contact" her customer when she sees there has been a change in an email address.  In addition, Gretchen pays attention to the auto-response messages that kick back and then takes full advantage of that information and follows up with a quick note of encouragement when appropriate or well wishing, etc.  This led her to a new listing that might have been lost otherwise.  

Lesson learned... If you truly want to be the first resource to turn to for your products and services, pay attention to your CEC Weekly kick backs, or for that matter, any email kick backs. They might be telling you more than you think.
